Get Ready for the 2026 Texas Primary Runoff Elections!

The 2026 Texas Primary Runoff Elections are an important opportunity for you to have a say in the candidates from your political party who will appear on the ballot in the November general election. Runoff elections are only held for primary races where no candidate won a majority of all votes cast.
Whether you’re a public charter school parent, educator, graduate, or supporter, your voice matters. Voting is how we protect our public charter schools and support access to educational opportunity.

Key Election Dates

Primary Runoff Election Day:
Tuesday, May 26, 2026— for primary races where no candidate won a majority (50% plus one vote)
Mail-in Ballot Applications Available:
Starting Thursday, January 1, 2026
Last Day to Register to Vote:
Monday, April 27, 2026 — in person or by mail
Early Voting Period:
May 18 - May 22, 2026 — cast your ballot before Election Day
Last Day to Apply for a Mail-in Ballot:
Friday, May 15, 2026 — application must be received by this date
Deadline to Receive Mail Ballots:
Tuesday, May 26, 2026
